Today we visited the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. We selected this place because it takes an unusual approach to its displays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the dioramas, aquariums, and other displays trace the history of nature in Mississippi. On the outside, the trails demonstrate some of the variations in environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the inside, the displays were detailed , informative and covered a wide array of animals, plants, ocean life, and time periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside, there are several trails that lead to places that demonstrate the variety of life and show in the “real world” how animals, plants, and the land interact. Unfortunately, due to high water levels, and some downed trees, we could only hike a portion of the trails. We got to see how the trees change from the top of the hill to the bottom at the swamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is interesting to note how trees, animals, and other life are designed to interact to support each other and to live in the same space. It is very hard to believe that this interdependence could be the result of chance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
