Today we spent time in yet a new and different part of Zion National Park. We enjoyed two hikes in Kolob Canyon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We still got to hike in a canyon. The experience was still very different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was more like a hike in the woods.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We continued to discover beautiful flowers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also saw some massive rock formations.<\/p>\n<\/div>

On this trail, we got to explore an old cabin where someone lived in what is now Zion National Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were hiking along Taylor Creek. We crossed it numerous times. We kept our feet dry by hopping from rock to rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Taylor Creek was not big, yet it was still interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

After we finished hiking Taylor Creek, we went to Timber Creek Overlook. Timber Creek Overlook is relatively short, but rocky and steep. We never did see Timber Creek. It must have been dried up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were hiking up a ridge to the viewpoint. There were a couple of places where it looked like we were close, but we were not quite there yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once we got there, the view was forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The mountains to the left of the hike were more visible from the overlook as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were tired and sore, but we enjoyed the vistas from the top of the hike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After we finished our hike, we drove to Beaver, Utah. Earlier in the day, the Ranger at Kolob Canyon Visitor Center had warned us that the drive from Beaver Utah to Great Basin Nevada would go over the loneliest highway in America.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
