The Idaho capitol at Boise is a classic state capitol building. It was mostly locked down today. We took a self guided tour of the capitol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the center of the building is the dome and rotunda. From the floor of the rotunda, you can see the basic design of the interior. The decor is mostly white that has various pastel colors used throughout the building as accents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We could not get into the House or Senate Chambers or galleries. We have a picture of the House on the left and the Senate on the right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a long drive on Interstate 84 from Boise Idaho to Portland Oregon after the visit at the capitol. It was not as rainy as the drive to Boise the day before. We saw that wind turbines are still being built in the Northwest. Much of our trip followed the Columbia River toward the west coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
