It was about a 25 minute drive from the hotel to the entrance to the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the park, we headed to the Mastodon Peak Loop Trail. It begins at an oasis. The trail was well marked, steep, and rocky at times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we reached Mastodon Peak, we had an amazing view of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
