June 29, 2023 : Trip 10, Day 22 – The Iowa Capitol in Des Moines and The Richards House B&B

Welcome to Iowa, the land of corn and silos. The Iowa Capitol was undergoing some outside rehab. It is still an impressive building, even with the scaffolding blocking part of the view. The details in the artwork on the outside were different because the figures were separated from the wall making them look more realistic.

June 28, 2023 : Trip 10, Day 21 – Minnesota Capitol in St Paul, Minnehaha Falls, and the Mall of America

We returned to Minnesota today to see the capitol, a waterfall, and the Mall of America. In this part of the state, we saw more cropland. We also saw the Mississippi River. We had driven north of the Mississippi on our way west. We got to see how the underpasses and bridges in St. Paul
