After church on Sunday, we combined a Sunday dinner at Texas Road House with a continuation of celebrating Annora’s birthday.
Before we went to dinner, Grandma and Grandpa spent some time playing “The Floor is Lava” with Annora. She really liked jumping from tile to tile to avoid the lava. Somehow, she won every game!
Here is Annora jumping from tile to tile. She did her best to land on a special square so she had a chance to do the fun activities on the Action cards.
After the game, we went out into the yard to play. Annora and Grandpa found a bird’s nest growing in a small tree. The nest was empty, so we did not disturb any birds.
Our dinner at Texas Roadhouse was very good.
Annora enjoyed the special attention she got for her birthday.
She liked riding on the saddle. She also enjoyed the birthday yeehaw, but she asked them to not be too loud because she does not like loud noises.
It was another great party, and a fitting end to our visit. Monday meant a return to work and school. It was also time for us to get ready to go west.
