Today was the second celebration of Declan’s birthday. He had a party for family and friends. We attended the party and then headed west to Jamestown, New York in the afternoon.
The drive across New York is longer than most people realize. We arrived at the hotel late at night and very tired. The hotel parking lot was full. We were asked to park on the street where ‘no parking’ signs suggested that was a bad idea. We located another hotel that had parking and rooms. Then we cancelled our first reservation and had a peaceful night at the second hotel. It was a very long day.
