Today, we resumed our third trip after a two week delay to get Steve’s Mom through the hospital stay and settled into rehab. We skipped over Providence, Boston, Concord, Wiscasset, Acadia, Augusta, Mt Washington, Montpelier, and Norwich. We will catch those locations another time. At 4:30 this morning, we got a phone call that Steve’s Mom fell and was on her way to the hospital for surgery on a broken leg. We packed up immediately and headed for home. We will continue the trip, with a few modifications, at a later date.

We covered a lot of ground today. Our day began in Trenton, New Jersey and ended in New Haven, Connecticut. Our first stop was the New Jersey State House. Our agenda today included the United States Naval Academy and the Maryland Capitol. We began at the Naval Academy. The best way to see the Naval Academy is following a tour guide. One of the first buildings we saw was LeJuene Hall. It is the physical education center. They have a very nice pool there.

Today, we began our third trip to tour the National Parks and State Capitols of the United States. We plan to travel up the east coast to Acadia National Park and then go west toward Chicago, spending a week in Clifton Park for our grandson’s 5th birthday. From there, we will head southwest toward home.
