We spent this day visiting with Eric, Michele, and Isabella. Isabella is our newest grandchild. She is about three months old. In the evening, AJ and his children drove up to join us for dinner at Juicy Burgers. We had a great meal and a lot of fun getting together.

Today is the beginning of our thirteenth trip to national parks and state capitols. We are starting our trip by visiting family. After that, we will see three state capitols and one national park. As always, we will have fun stops at other places along the way.

We drove home from Cookeville, Tennessee today. It was a nice day for an autumn drive. It was also good to get home. It took four weeks to drive 7,500 miles to see 11 national parks and seven state capitols. It was a busy, productive, educational, and enjoyable four weeks on the road.

We took a trip down memory lane today. We lived in Houston, Texas when we were first married many years ago. Houston is both the same and very different. The population has grown from 1.8 million to 7 million. Downtown is still a lot of skyscrapers, but now there are several over 50 stories tall.
