Today was a long day that ran over into the next day. We planned to sleep in, but woke up early. We waited until noon to check out of our room. We then took a walk to a nearby restaurant for lunch.
On the way to the restaurant, we saw a beautifully decorated office and parking lot. They maintained some gorgeous plants and flowers. Here is a sample of what they had.
After lunch we returned to the hotel. We had checked our bags, so we retrieved our computers to watch some shows and to read. Our flight was a red eye with an 11 pm departure. It was a long afternoon.
The flight home was uneventful, but long. It was a 4 movie flight spread over three planes. The seats were comfortable for sitting, but too small for sleeping. By the time we had been in LA for breakfast and Atlanta for dinner, we were glad to be on a short flight back home. It was 8 pm local time when we got home. It had been thirty three hours since we woke up in Hawaii the day before. Sleep was very nice.
We enjoyed our 2 week trip to Hawaii. It was a great way to celebrate our 50th anniversary.
